Data Deletion

Delete your account, your brand library, your drafts, and the social connections we hold for you. From inside the app, or with one email.

This page tells you exactly how to delete the data Ekhopost holds about you — your account, your brand library, your drafts and scheduled posts, and the OAuth connections we keep to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X. You can delete everything from inside the app, or write to us and we’ll do it for you. Either way, you’re in control.

Statutory basis. This page is provided under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and satisfies the data deletion instructions required by Meta, LinkedIn, and X for apps that use their OAuth APIs. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Delete from inside the app

The fastest way to remove your data is from your Ekhopost account:

  • Sign in at app.ekhopost.com.
  • Open Settings → Account → Delete account.
  • Confirm by typing your email. Deletion starts immediately and cannot be undone.

Your workspace, brand library, drafts, scheduled posts, and connected social tokens are queued for permanent deletion as soon as you confirm.

Ask us to delete it for you

If you can’t sign in, or you’d prefer a human to handle it, email hello@ekhopost.com from the address on file with the subject line “Delete my Ekhopost data”.

We verify the request against your account (usually a quick reply to confirm) and then action the deletion. You don’t need to give us a reason.

We respond within 30 days of receiving a verified request, and almost always within 72 hours.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed from Ekhopost systems:

  • Your profile — name, email, phone, password hash, sign-in provider.
  • Your brand library — logo, palette, voice description, product photos, brand hashtag.
  • Your content — prompts, AI-generated drafts, edited captions, generated images, scheduled posts.
  • Your OAuth tokens — LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X access and refresh tokens are revoked and erased.
  • Your session data and device information.

Once deletion runs, we cannot recover any of this — please export anything you want to keep before you start.

What we keep, and for how long

A small amount of data is retained for legal and audit reasons, even after deletion:

  • Billing and tax records — retained for 8 years as required by Indian tax law.
  • Fraud and abuse signals — a hashed record that you had an account, kept for 90 days to prevent re-abuse.
  • Server logs — up to 90 days, then automatically purged.
  • Support correspondence — up to 2 years, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Everything else is gone.

Revoking social connections separately

Deleting your Ekhopost account automatically revokes the OAuth tokens we hold for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X — we can no longer read or publish on those accounts on your behalf.

If you want to remove Ekhopost from the connected apps list on the platform side as well, you can do that directly:

  • Facebook / Instagram — facebook.com/settings → Apps and Websites → remove Ekhopost.
  • LinkedIn — linkedin.com/psettings/permitted-services → remove Ekhopost.
  • X — x.com/settings/connected_apps → revoke Ekhopost.

Your posts that were already published to those platforms remain on the platforms themselves. Ekhopost does not delete public content you chose to publish.

Delete a single social connection only

If you want to keep your Ekhopost account but disconnect a specific platform, sign in and go to Settings → Connected accounts, then tap Disconnect next to the platform. We revoke the token and delete the profile metadata for that platform within 24 hours.

Timeline

Deletion is immediate from the app. For email requests, we action deletion within 72 hours of verifying you, and in all cases within the 30-day window required by the DPDP Act.

You’ll get a confirmation email once the deletion has completed.
